Volatility detection

Definition: Grease volatility (evaporation loss) refers to the degree of evaporation loss of base oil in grease under high-temperature conditions.

① The smaller the evaporation loss, the better the high-temperature performance of the grease.

② Grease evaporation loss depends on the type, properties, and distillation composition of the base oil used in the grease.

③ Excessive evaporation loss can lead to an increased concentration of the thickener in the grease, which may cause the grease to harden, increase friction, and shorten its service life.
